I give thanks to the Lord for the birth of my niece Emilie a little over a week ago. Today's mass and prayers of the Rosary after our pro-life mass were very beautiful. Once again we prayed the Rosary in 5 different languages: English, French, Spanish, Latin and Tagalog. · Children, one of my greatest desires now is holding my new nieces in my arms for the first time · One of them would probably fit in my hands, Emilie, 1 week old, the other one, well she is 9 months... · Let’s think about Emilie now · So small yet so great, · So vulnerable, yet so precious, of an infinite value · So fragile, yet so beautifully made, and complete · But completely dependent on her parents · Now we can think about the unborn · So small yet so great · So vulnerable, yet so precious, of an infinite value · So fragile, yet so beautifully made, and complete, and infinitely loved by the Father · So tiny, yet so human, fully human · Yes fully human, but in such a need for protection, defenseless without our protecting hands, joined in prayer · And the mystery of the Eucharist parallels that as well · So small yet so great · So vulnerable, yet so precious, of an infinite value · So fragile, yet so beautifully made and infinitely loved by the Father · So tiny, yet so human, in fact fully human & fully divine · Yes fully divine, but in such a need for protection, defenseless without our protecting hands in prayer , or our hands receiving Him in communion like we receive a tiny baby, like a crib, but not a cold wooden crib, a warm living receiving hands for Him, our All, Jesus Christ · As our understanding of the mystery of the Eucharist grows, let us ask for our devotion to the cause of Life to grow as well
